We dram a bit differently
Our gatherings are shaped as much by ideas as by technique. How a whisky is made matters—but it is only one part of the story. Gatherings draw on literature, cinema, science, geography, and social history—using whisky as both subject and lens. The technical details are there, but always in service of a broader idea.

How spaces open
Membership is currently full and capped at ~30 to preserve the quality and intimacy of the room (and a bottle only splits so many ways). That said, new spots open each January, and we welcome guests throughout the year.

Founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canad, and inspired by the city's beloved Common (singular, technically — though we prefer the local lingo, “the Commons”). The name also nods to the storied history of Parliamentary Scotch — reflected in our gold and green colours — and, most of all, to whisky’s roots as the drink of ordinary people. We celebrate quality spirits through exceptional, curated tastings that bring together appreciation, education, and thoughtful exploration of craftsmanship, history, and culture.
